Anna Gough Sleep Meditation
Welcome to Leapfrog Presents, the first in our series of wellness videos and audio tracks. We are delighted to offer our community a free-to-access pre-sleep meditation by breathwork coach Anna Marie Gough.
Anna has become one of the eminent breathwork and cold water immersion coaches in the UK, helping people find calm, happiness and balance in their work, relationships, and life. She is passionate about using ancient healing to enhance wellbeing in our often frantic-paced modern lives.
At Leapfrog, we believe that sleep is the bedrock of a strong immune system. Scientific studies show that meditation can increase levels of serotonin (a “feel good” chemical in the body) and melatonin (a hormone that regulates sleep-wake cycles) and lower levels of norepinephrine (a neurotransmitter associated with anxiety).
Anna's guided meditation is 22 minutes of utter bliss and self care, and an exploration of your inner landscape. So lie down, get comfortable and press play. As you listen, the goal is to relax, but not fall asleep (until the meditation is finished!). This can help to train your brain to be more mindful, and to acknowledge anxious thoughts in future before they spiral.
